to so many kids in the 70's, as he was an integral part of Ian Chappell's side of the 70's, who ruled Test Cricket. I had the great fortune to play against Max in the early 80's, and, he was always prepared to sit and have a beer with you and offer some great advice. A true larrikin, a fantastic speaker, who will be sadly missed.
